 Greeners Action (GA) started a 2-year programme of “No More Plastic Action” funded by Sustainable Development Fund to invite restaurants and shops to joined "Shops Towards 0 Plastics” (S.T.0.P.) scheme, and educate the public to refuse over-packaging and single-use plastic in daily lives. There are over 100 shops joined “S.T.0.P.” scheme, which is 1.68 times more than 60 shops expected before.

Recognition Ceremony of “S.T.0.P.” 2020 was held to recognize the joined shops. GA invited Research Chair Professor Jim Chi Yung of Geography & Environmental Science at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) as the officiating guest, artists Mandy Lam and Sugar Club as promoting guests to attend our ceremony. Under Secretary for the Environment Mr Tse Chin Wan and Chairperson Simon Wong of Catering Industry Training Advisory Committee had a recorded speech video. 4 “S.T.0.P.” shops, which are restaurants and naked shops, were invited to share their vision and result. There is restaurant can successfully encourage 20% more customers to bring their own bottles.

To further promote zero plastic, GA will organize “No Plastic Day” parade on 31 October. Artists Mandy Lam and Sugar Club will promote the “No more plastic” message in Nathan Road, Yau Tsim Mong District .GA urged all the citizens to join the “No More Plastic” action, refuse over-packaging and single-use plastic in daily lives, also support “S.T.0.P.” shops.
