Greeners Action, its subsidiaries and associates (collectively, hereinafter referred to as “GA”, "we", "us" or "our") as a
local registered charitable environmental group, is one of the leading green groups in Hong Kong. IRD no. 91/8885.
Please check our website periodically for changes. Your continued use of this site following the posting of changes to
this policy will mean you accept those changes.

As a one of the leading green groups in Hong Kong. “GA” value the high degree of public trust bestowed upon us.
We are committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality and security of the personal information we hold by
complying with the requirements of the Data Protection Principles, and The Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance(Cap. 486).
Statement of Practices
We will collect various types of personal information (please refer to “Collection, Retention, Use of Personal Data”) by
verbal communication, telephone, SMS, mail, email, website, online registration or any application from us. We may
keep contact with you from time to time.
We may not so use your personal information for direct marketing purpose or disclose to third parties unless we have
received your consent for confirmation to the intended use.
Collection, Retention, Use of Personal Data
We will base on the three categories for collect your Personal Data for one or more of the following purposes for daily
operations use.
1. Environmental Protection Projects and Activities of Personal Data
1.1 when operating projects, activities and campaigns (For example, in conducting surveys, research and
statistics, outreach activities, public consultation, community education programs, provision of facility
services, etc.) to collect your Personal Data such as your name, gender and date of birth, contact
information such as your telephone number(s), postal addresses, email and fax numbers in order to
maintain an up-to-date and accurate database.
1.2 when processing and managing your application to join our event participation or sponsorship
(including direct debit setup with banks, cheque and transfer of bank account or credit card information
with banks, such as credit card number, name of card holder) and issuing your receipt. Business information,
such as: company name, title and related contact information.
1.3 when processing and managing relevant procedures of staff and volunteer recruitment and employment,
such as contact information.
1.4 when processing your petition or pledge sign up
2. Donation of Personal Data
2.1 when processing and managing your donation (including direct debit setup with banks, cheque and transfer
of bank account or credit card information with banks, such as credit card number, name of card holder) and
issuing your receipt. And business information, such as: company name, title and related contact information.
2.2 when processing and managing your application to join our membership, event participation or sponsorship,
e-Newsletter subscription, volunteer activities, public tours, or product purchase, such as contact information.
3. Others of Personal Data
3.1 when communicating with you in response to your enquiries, comments and complaint
3.2 when responding your request for information or services, whether submitted by you online, over the phone,
or any other methods
3.3 when either developing or improving our relations with our supporters, prospective present and past donors
(including but not limit our members), by enabling us to contact appropriate individuals with relevant information
such as newsletters, researches and invitations to join our activities or events
3.4 when permitted by law or regulation, and as required by law or regulation, or as requested by government
authorities, for the protection of persons or property or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend

According to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong. You have the right to request
Greeners Action not to use your Personal Data for communication or promotion purposes. You can also exercise
the right at any time by contacting us at the address given at the end of this privacy policy. If you are unacceptable
for receiving our communications, please contact us regarding removal of your Personal Data.
