“Love Food Hate Waste” producing good taste of cherishing resource
Sustainable environment committee of NWS holdings Limited, again, organized environmental protection campaign, named “Green arithmetic method” with theme as waste management. The ending of the campaign was the “Cooking Wise competition” co-organized with the Greeners Action. The competition let people to unleash creativity to produce new dishes from food remain, encouraging people to engage in green living, supporting waste reduction, recycling and reusing.

The assessment aspects include green idea, creativity, originality and understandability of food menu. 6 teams, after preliminary assessment, entered the final round competition held on 2nd Aug, 2014. Mr. Cheung Chin Cheung, the executive director of the sustainability committee of NWS holdings Limited, Greeners Action’s chairman Mr. Ho Hon Wai and famous green reporter/writer Miss Chan Hui Lui, Leila as judging members. Every participating team produced their designated “food wise” cuisine with their best efforts, getting the judging members’ high valuing.
