7 Environmental Groups request for charging per garbage bag in the Waste Charging Scheme
Seven environmental groups including Friends of the Earth (HK), Greeners Action, The Conservancy Association, Green Power, Produce Green Foundation, Green Peace and Greensense signed to support the implementation of Waste Charging Scheme which charges per garbage bag but not per household. Representatives of each group brought along a garbage bag with a tick sign which represents their support to charging per garbage bag and a photo of a residential building with a cross which represents objection of charging per household in order to express their views towards the Waste Charging Scheme to the Council for Sustainable development.
