Greeners Action welcoms the expansion on the PSB scheme
Greeners Action has been urging the government to fasten the expansion of the PSB scheme. The long-awaited expansion finally came out today.We welcome the expansion very much as the participants increased from 3,000 retailers in the first phase to more than 60,000 retailers grocery in Hong Kong. The draft of the expansion will be gazetted on Friday (3rd May) and will be submitted to the Legislative Council on 8th May. We hope that the government can do her best to promote, monitor and execute the expansion plan. We also urge chained stores to donate the tax collected to charitable organizations in the community to support them to conduct more environmental and waste reduction works.
