"Zero Food Waste in CityU" campaign - Conference on Recycling and Reducing Food Waste
Do you know that food waste can be existed in many forms as the Transformer? A Conference on Recycling and Reducing Food Waste was held at City University on April 23. The conference was held by Mr. Angus Ho, the Executive Director of Greeners Action, Dr. Patrick Lee, Dr. Carol Lin and other specialists to explain the local food waste problem and the newest technology on recycling, including generating electricity using food waste, producing biofuels and degradable plastic materials, etc. The speakers also analyzed transformation process using complicated technology to bring out of the need of high cost for transforming food waste into useful resources in order to reveal to the audience the truth that reducing food waste is actually the most sustainable way to solve the problem.
