‘Save Lung Mei Alliance’ is found due to the fact that recently in the Lung Mei Incident, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department has given up to take the responsibility to protect Hong Kong environment. The Alliance also organises the ‘Lung Mei College’ to educate visitors to cherish wild creatures and enrich their knowledge with the coastal ecosystem.

On every weekends, there are many visitors coming to Lung Mei to appreciate the natural aquarium. This shows that Hong Kong people are craving for more natual environment. However, as it is found that some visitors have been hurting the marine animals, the Alliance decides to found the “Lung Mei Guardian” to advise visitors to treat the animals properly every weekends (11am-6pm). Under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Ordinance Cap. 169, any cases of cruelty to animals carries a maximum penalty of 3 years imprisonment and a $200,000 fine. If members of the Alliance realise any cases of cruelty to animals, please report to the police for assistance.

On the other hand, the Lung Mei College will hold its first lesson on 11th November, from 11am to 1pm, in order to let citizens know more about the precious Ling Mei as a natural resource in Hong Kong. The quota of the lesson is 50. Anyone who are interested can register on site. First come, first serve.
