“Food Wise Student” experiencing fun in farmland, sharing awarded “Food Wise” idea 06th May, 2012
10 some “food wise student” who passed many tests, standing out from over 10 thousand students, were invited to attend one-day farmland visit today (6th May,2012). In the tests, student candidates had to first finish their lunches without leaving food waste every Wednesday for at least 10 times in 3 months, then they had to submit their “food wise” ideas that would be publicly voted by over 2,000 people.
“Food Wise” Awardees and their parents had sightseeing in Luk Keng Fung Hang, learning the importance of eco-system and conservation. Apart from having organic vegan meal to know about green diet, they also play “zero food waste” game to find out who created the least food waste. Students, parents and volunteers ate as much as they could for the game. They shared what they encountered about food waste and how they reduced waste in quotidian lives.
