The Greeners Action Cooperated with The Dennis Company Limited to hold the 3rd batch of “Vegan Day In Campus”
The 3rd batch of “Vegan day in campus” whose slogan is “vegan eating for a low carbon footprint future” started today. 41 secondary and primary schools having 15 thousands students, through having vegan lunch, spread the message of low-carbon footprint to the public. It is estimated 36.8 tonnes of carbon dioxide emission was reduced because of the campaign. To up its value, the campaign was held and officially started on today 13th March in Maryknoll Fathers’ School under many witness.
Dennis Company limited is the lunch supplier of the campaign, it said since the implementation of the campaign that 40 thousand secondary and primary students were participating in, 340 thousand vegan lunch boxes were made, and students’ awareness of low-carbon vegan diet was raised. This year, two more food suppliers also showed support, in hope to spread out the message wide to different community levels. The target for this year is educating 50 thousand people and to reduce carbon dioxide emission by 500 tonnes through 1-year vegan dieting.
