Food Wise campaign “Save Food@ Happy Valley”
In light of the success of holding the “$1 discount, less rice day” in Olympian City in previous month, green charity, the Greeners Action, again cooperated with the Happy Valley Communion to hold the ”Save Food@ Happy Valley”. To suit the style of different eateries in Happy Valley, this campaign encourages eateries suitably reduce the amount of food served to avoid unnecessary wastage. Starting 22nd September, 2007, lasting for 3 months, over one forth, totally 14 trades in Happy Valley, support the scheme by reducing amount of food served by its one forth. Upon customers’ request, there will be unconditionally provision of original portion. The Greeners Action thinks the campaign aims at encouraging people to think about their need twice before ordering food, so to reduce food waste through suitably serving portion.
