Wearing face mask has become a new normal after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Greeners Action has conducted an outline survey in the past month and found that over 90% interviewee usuallly wear disposable masks. As a result, 2 billion disposable masks have been consumed since February. Only less than 10% people use reusable masks. However, nearly 70% of disposable mask users agree to use reusable masks. The survey also includes the protection abilities of reusable masks. Some of them offer the same protection power as disposable masks. Greeners Action suggests the government should set a guidelines on the use of reusable masks, and explore ways like recycling to reduce the damage induced by disposable masks.
