Hong Kong Outstanding Green Management Award 2024 – Awarding Ceremony
Greeners Action launched the Hong Kong Outstanding Green Management Award to encourage property management companies to promote environmental protection, waste reduction, and clean recycling. The award recognizes sustainable development efforts and supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This year, 39 properties participated, including residential buildings, shopping malls, commercial buildings, and hotels, with 35 properties earning the Gold Award. The Awarding Ceremony was held on March 28, with Mr. Chu Kai-ming, Kevin, Vice President of the Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies Ltd., and Professor Jonathan Wong, BBS, MH, JP, Director of the Hong Kong Organic Resource Recovery Centre, as officiating guests.
Site assessments revealed strong ESG commitments, with properties excelling in waste reduction, clean recycling, and green procurement. These efforts align with SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by promoting efficient waste management and a circular economy. They also contribute to SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by ensuring cleaner, greener neighborhoods and support SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through cross-sector collaboration.
We aim to raise environmental standards in the property management industry, encouraging more businesses to adopt green management and build a sustainable future.
