Hong Kong is facing severe challenges regarding municipal solid waste, and all sectors are actively exploring creative green concepts and measures to solve escalating environmental issues. Organized by Greeners Action, co-organized by The Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies Limited, and supported  by the Hong Kong Hotels Association, the HKOGMA enters its third year. It aims to recognize management companies across various property types for their excellence in innovative environmental protection, waste reduction at source, and resource recycling, while strongly encouraging the industry to drive sustainable development.

Eligibility
The award welcomes applications from management company representatives of all types of properties, including residential complexes, shopping malls, hotels, industrial/commercial buildings, warehouses, clubhouses, and other premises.

Award Categories
The HKOGMA features Diamond (newly added for 2026), Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Merit accreditations, which are valid for one year. Additionally, three special awards have been established to recognize leadership in innovation, environmental impact, and progress toward zero-waste goals: Creative Green Management Award, the Outstanding Engagement Award, and the Zero-Waste Pioneer Award. The award includes a recognition ceremony where will feature sharing sessions on industry best practives to help elevate green management standards.

Assessment Criteria and Weighting
The HKOGMA aims to support properties in establishing effective waste management systems. The assessment criteria cover ten major areas:

1. Environmental Leadership 
2. Regulatory Compliance and Green Leases 
3. Green Procurement 
4. Waste Reduction at Source 
5. Food Waste Management
6. Clean Recycling 
7. Environmental Education and Activities 
8. Partnerships and Collaboration 
9. Energy Saving 
10. Water Conservation 

Assessment Process
Participating units must submit the required documents online. Subsequently, Greeners Action will arrange for staff to conduct on-site inspections and assessments. The audit year for all documentation and environmental measures is 2026.

Fees
Early Bird Discount: $4,800 per promise (Property Management Sector Deadline: 15 June, 2026, Hotel Sector Deadline: 30 June, 2026)
Standard Rate: $4,980 per promise (Deadline: 31 July, 2026)
