Over 100 application forms were received for the “Cook for Green Competition 2015” organized by the Greeners-Action. After judgement, 30 teams were produced, 10 of them would compete in the 1st district-based competition in which they have to turn food remains into a meal in 30 minutes. Some of them used watermelon skin to make salad, while some used baked bread crust to make Budian etc. Being the judgers, the EPD’s Deputy Director of Environmental Protection (Conservation and infrastructure), Mr. Elvis Au, and Chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Restaurants & Related Traders Limited, Mr. Lok Kwok On, and star chef Jacky Yu were astonished by participants’ excellent creativities and skills.
