Waste Reduction and Recycling Works

The Green Student Union took the first “printer consumables recycling” competition as a chance to promote idea of green printing for student to know its importance and benefits to environment, in order to increase the recycling rate of printer consumables. The duration of competition was held from March to June, over 20 School had participated in it, and over 500 printer consumable items had been recycled. All participating schools had a chance to visit an learn more about the recycling process for printer consumables in Zhu hai factory.
To express gratitude to recycling and renew, the Green Student Union called volunteers and participating students about 50 people, making a 10m x 10m sized recycling and renew slogan. To show determination of recycling, all participants even made recycling slogan.

The competition result is as follows.
Champion: Rosaryhill School (Secondary Section) for recycling totally 131 toners and ink cartridges
1st runner up: HKCWC Fung Yiu King Memorial Secondary School for recycling totally 72 toners and ink cartridges
2nd runner up: Helen Liang Memorial Secondary School for recycling totally 71 toners and ink cartridges
Other six awardees: Cheung Chuk Shan College, Pui Ching Middle School, Yan Chai Hospital Wong Wha San Secondary School, PLK Wai Yin College, Ling Liang Church E Wun Secondary, Chiu Lut Sau Memorial Secondary School
