Environmental Groups Present Letters to Legco Members and Welcome the Restart of Waste Charging Committee
The House Committee today discussed the matter of Bills Committees. Six environmental group representatives petitioned outside the Legislative Council with a banner stated “Grasp the Opportunity to Launch Municipal Waste Charging”. Hon MA Fung-kwok, former Chairman of the bill committee of Waste Disposal (Charging for Municipal Solid Waste) (Amendment) Bill 2018 cum Deputy Chairman of the House Committee, Legco members Jeremy Tam (Civic Party) and Ted Hui (Democratic Party) were invited to receive a letter urging for the support of relaunching the MSW bill committee.
