Green Delight in Estates Kickoff Ceremony
The Hong Kong Housing Authority has been engaging green groups since 2005 to conduct a community environmental educational programme, “Green Delight in Estates” (GDE). The aim of the GDE programme is to raise environmental awareness among residents of public rental housing estates and to instill a culture of protecting and improving the environment. The program is to enhance the awareness and habit of the estate residents on green consumption, waste reduction, waste recycling and food waste reduction through in-depth educational programmes and activities, including the Green Living Fun Day, Eco-tour, Second-hand market & Environmental Workshop, Recycling Day and Green Mentorship Programme.
