Waste Reduction and Recycling Works

As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, the various gift-giving activities generate a large amount of waste. Greeners Action organizes the annual recycling program “Mooncake Boxes Recycling Program”, to reduce the waste generated during the Mid-Autumn Festival. We have recycled over 70,000 mooncake boxes over the past 11 years.

We are launching the “Mooncake Boxes Recycling Program 2024”, to assist various organizations in properly recycling mooncake boxes. Through this program, participating organizations can not only help citizens reduce waste during the festival period and protect the environment, but also showcase their corporate social responsibility image to the public. The basic service includes:

1. One-time transportation service for mooncake boxes (paper boxes and metal boxes only);

2. Electronic promotional posters for easy public promotion;

3. Recycling guidelines and eco-friendly tips for the Mid-Autumn Festival (to be released on the social media platforms);

4. Recycling report, so that companies can know the recycling volume and obtain recycling data for their ESG reports;

5. Certificate of recognition issued after the completion of the event.

Application closes on 10th September 2024.
