Greeners Action launches the first Medicines Collection Project
The primary objective of the medicine collection project is to properly manage expired or surplus medications in households, thereby reducing potential threats to environmental and public health. This initiative aims to prevent the chemical components of medications from entering the soil and water sources, which can lead to environmental pollution and increase the risk of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
Through the medicine collection project, dedicated recycling points will be established to encourage citizens to return unwanted medications. It is ensured that the collected medications will be sent to the Chemical Waste Treatment Centre under the Environmental Protection Department for incineration.
Collection period from 1 Jun to 30 Nov, 2025. For details, please visit
