Four days before the Lunar New Year – Toner and ink cartridge recycling day
Near the end of the Chinese year, a lot of families will conduct deep cleaning, during which printer consumables may be replaced and disposed of. According to the Greeners Action’s earlier survey, near 70% of citizens never participate in printer consumable recycling campaign, while near 80% of interviewee thought the degree of promotion of related recycling, recycling facilities, were not good enough and so not convenient to make people recycle at that time. Today, we and about 10 Greeners Action volunteers set up recycling boxes for used-up toners and ink cartridges in Mongkok pedestrian zone, also displayed boards and delivered promotion leaflets to and educate the public.
We successfully cooperated with Link Real estate investment trust and Sino group, to provide toner and ink cartridge recycling service. Starting Lunar new year, citizens could put the used toners and ink cartridges into totally 110 designated recycling points in shopping malls, business buildings and estates.
