Lai See Reuse and Recycle Program 2014 official starts in the tenth day of Lunar calendar
Today, Greeners Action held kickoff ceremony of Lai See Reuse and Recycle Program and invited Mr. Wong Kam-Sing, GBS, JP, Secretary for the Environment as our officiating guest, together with all participated enterprise to launch the Lai See Reuse and Recycle Program.
Greeners Action announced this year program detail such as collection date and collection point, and expected amount of recyclable Lai See. This year there are 42 enterprises and organizations, with an increase rate of 56% compare to last year (27 enterprises and organization joined last year). The new collection point are mainly banks and shopping centres, in order to increase the participation of citizens. From today (10th day of lunar calendar) to February 23rd, there will be 400 shopping mall, housing estate, banks and hotels will set up Lai See collection box in Hong Kong, Kowloon and New Territories to cover the entire Hong Kong, expecting more than 3 million of Lai See to be recycled.
