This year is the 3rd consecutive year of Lai See Reuse and Recycle Program, in order to help the citizen to establish sustainable new year tradition, and raise the acceptance of reborn Lai See. The program is widely supported by the community, 13 enterprise supported and participated in the program, thus increasing the collections from 70 places to 158 places (see attachment 1), including airport, bank, housing estates, clubhouses and shopping malls, covering Hong Kong, Kowloon and New Territories, making it more convenient for citizen to recycle their Lai See. From today (the seventh day of lunar calendar) to February 14th, these collection point is available for citizens to recycle their used Lai See.

Today (29th Jan) Greeners Action officially announced the distribution of last year reborn Lai See in Lung Cheung Plaza, and this year program information including collection date and location, as well as inviting 13 participated enterprise to launch the kick off ceremony for Lai See Reuse and Recycle Program. The success of the program is due to the participants, in which include:

6 Sliver Sponsors: Agile Group Holdings Limited, Henderson Land Development Co. Ltd, The Hong Kong and China Gas Company, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, New World Development Company Limited, Hip Shing Hong (Holdings) Company Limited.
3 Red Sponsors: Hang Lung Properties Limited, Canon Hong Kong Co., Ltd, Gold Peak Industries (Holdings) Limited.

In addition, SF Express (Hong Kong) Co., Limited have provided professional transport assistance and support for ‘Lai See Reuse and Recycle Program’, including the transportation of collection box and posters, and the collection of all collected Lai See from the public.

Mr. Angus Ho Hon Wai, Executive Director of Greeners Action and a group of guest puzzled a group of reborn Lai See into the word ‘blessing’ in the backdrop of the stage to celebrate an environmental friendly and fruitful Chinese new year. In addition, Greeners Action also invite a group of children to use reborn Lai See to make DIY lanterns, and to show the audience different DIY lanterns in the form of Catwalk. From today to February 14, apart from 50 shopping malls from Link REIT, this year new collection points include airport, bank, different estates, clubhouses and shopping centres, covering Hong Kong, Kowloon and New Territories to encourage citizens to recycle used Lai See.
