"Lai See Reuse and Recycle Program 2021", Collection starts
There is a “red-pocket-giving” tradition in every Lunar year. According to Greeners Action’s figure, 320 million of red pockets are produced by Hong Kong people in one year. Without proper handling, those red pockets would end up in unnecessary waste. In view of this, we organize consecutively 12 years the “Lai See Reuse and Recycle Program”, hoping to raise public awareness of reduce waste at source from every tiny part of life.
Our target is 10 million this year as 172 organizations have taken part in it.
“Lai See Reuse and Recycle Program 2021” was officially started today, 18th February, 2021, for people to recycle red packet, there are over 350 public recycling points as 172 organizations in the territory.
Thanks for your active support. Recycling of every red pocket is crucial for the environmental protection.
