Greeners Action believes that traditional customs can coexist with green and sustainable living. Therefore, we are organizing the "Lai See Reuse and Recycle Program" for the 15th consecutive year to enhance public's awareness on cherishing resources and reducing waste during the festival through the reuse of lai see packets.

Public can recycle their lai see packets at over 400 public collection points across Hong Kong until 17th March. Upon resumption of normalcy in Hong Kong after the pandemic, we hope that the increase of public collection points and the ease of recycling could enhance public's motivation to participate in the campaign.

This year, we also hope to collect and recycle 10 million lai see packets, an increase of 2 million from the previous year's target. After the campaign, the collected lai see packets will be sorted and re-packed as "Reborn Lai See", and will be distributed to the public for reuse next year.

Kickoff ceremony is organized on 19th Feb, with the presence of Mr WONG Kam-sing, GBS, JP, Mr. Lam Chiu-ying SBS, Principal Environmental Protection Officer(Waste Reduction & Community Recycling) Ms. NG So Chun, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Company Secretary,Sa Sa International Holdings Limited, Ms. Simmy Mak, General Manager of Shell Hong Kong Limited, Ms. Emily Leung, Assistant General Manager (Corporate Communication), Kai Shing Management Services Limited, Ms. Carmen Wong and Charity Commissioner, Mean Well (HongKong) Holding Limited, Ms. Vicki Ho, together with around 70 guests participated.
