Greeners Action 4.5 million Reborn Lai See to distribute for FREE
There is about two weeks from the Lunar New Year, although replacing the olds with new items is a norm, still we could have a green Lunar New Year holiday. However, red packets are usually discarded after use, which is extremely wasteful and causes great damage to the environment. According to our survey, it shows Hong Kong people consumes 320 million red packets every year, which is equivalent to cutting down 16,300 trees.
Starting from today, until 28th January, 2025, Reborn Lai See is ready to pick up for FREE in 118 distribution points in the territory, including 44 Shell stations, shopping malls, housing estate, NGOs and district council offices, to encourage people to buy less new red packets. This is money-saving and environmental-friendly green habits for Lunar New Year.
